Physical features (height, colouring, fashion sense, etc): Luna has a happy, open face, straggly blonde hair, protuberant and dreamy blue eyes, and light skin often tanned or sunburned from being outdoors. She dresses for comfort before fashion. Knee-length skirts and baggy shirts are her favourite, especially in bright colours.

Occupation: active member of Quango, the wizard Peace Corps
Hobbies/what they do in their spare time: wandering, staring out into space, looking for and talking about odd creatures, making jewelry

Backstory/History - aka, where they have been between DH and Ascendant, and beyond:

Luna did not suffer as much during the war as most, and in fact came out of it almost completely unscathed. She spent a while helping her father put their interestingly-shaped house back together after it was nearly destroyed by Death Eaters, then turned her attention to multiple things at once. There were her studies, for one thing: her father arranged for her to finish her NEWTS after missing the last semester of school, which she studied for with a group of other students in her year that wanted to finish their studies. In her free time, she visited her friends and volunteered at St. Mungo's, and occasionally went to Death Eater trials when they were open to the public. She soon found that her help was needed much more with those who were not sick but incarcerated, and visited Azkaban often, though her presence was very rarely well received. It did give her time to help her father with getting the Quibbler restarted, which has been more well received since the war and the Prophet's difficult attempts to regain the trust of its readers. When Quango began, she joined immediately, offering to act as outreach for the people who needed their help and writing up their success and failure stories for articles in her father's newspaper.

How the war affected them:

In many ways, the war reaffirmed Luna's belief in human failings, but it also gave her great faith that there will always be enough people to counteract any negative effects of those failings. Where one person lacks, another can make up for it, and eventually it will all balance out. She is pleased to have made it through the war and planning to thoroughly enjoy peacetime, making it last as long as possible so that others can enjoy it too.
